New Delhi, June 12 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to elect its new national president by July 21, just ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. According to top party sources, the selection process for new state unit presidents in 10 states will begin next week, followed closely by the national leadership transition.
Current BJP president JP Nadda’s extended term concluded in June 2024. Nadda, now a Union minister, has held a dual role for months. To avoid confusion ahead of the Bihar assembly elections, party leaders are expediting the appointment of his successor.

The selection of state unit chiefs is expected to be completed by June 21, paving the way for the national president’s election. Senior leaders have confirmed that informal consultations are already underway, and no further delay is expected.
