Alwar : A serious accident took place late Sunday evening on the
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Barodamev in Alwar when a car traveling from
Jaipur to Delhi overturned after the driver reportedly dozed off and hit the
road divider. The crash left three people injured—driver Shivam from Uttar
Pradesh, Surbhi Agarwal from Ghaziabad, and Sandra, a citizen of Singapore. The
victims were first taken to Barodamev Community Health Center and later
referred to Alwar District Hospital due to the severity of their injuries. Sandra,
who was on her way to catch a 10:50 PM flight to Singapore from Delhi, had
booked a taxi from Sanganer, Jaipur, along with her friend Surbhi. The incident
highlights the dangers of driver fatigue, with authorities urging caution and
rest for those undertaking long highway journeys.
