District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni Leads the Initiative
The campaign is being actively supervised by Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, and has been rolled out across urban and rural areas, from district headquarters to gram panchayats. Public engagement tools like night chaupals, gram sabhas, and public hearings are being used to raise awareness and motivate participation.
“The goal is to ensure transparency and fairness in the distribution of government welfare schemes. Voluntary participation is key to making this initiative a success,” said District Supply Officer Trilok Chand Meena.
1.81 Lakh Eligible Beneficiaries Added
Alongside the opt-outs, 1,81,485 new eligible individuals have been added to the NFSS in Jaipur, helping improve the scheme's outreach. This balance is critical to maintaining the integrity of food distribution under the scheme.
Night Chaupals Driving Grassroots Change
A night chaupal in Begas village, Kalwad tehsil, recently saw 128 residents voluntarily give up their benefits on the spot, responding to the District Collector's call. These community-level events are proving to be highly effective in promoting the ‘Give Up’ initiative.
Campaign Deadline: June 30, 2025
The ‘Give Up’ campaign will run until June 30, with notices issued to 986 ineligible persons requesting voluntary withdrawal from the scheme. The administration is urging all ineligible families to come forward before the deadline.
