Jaipur: As part of the ‘Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan
Jan Abhiyan’, a district-level event was organized in Muthli village
of Balotra district on Sunday. Zoraram Kumawat, the district in-charge
minister, inaugurated several development works including libraries,
traditional water tanks (tankas), and pasture lands in Muthli and
Siwana. Siwana MLA Hammir Singh Bhayal was also present at the
occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Kumawat emphasized the
critical need for water conservation, calling it the demand of the hour.
“Water is life, and we must protect this precious resource for our future
generations. This campaign is a major step in that direction,” he said. He also
highlighted various initiatives and schemes launched by the state government
for water preservation.
During the program, Minister Kumawat inaugurated and
dedicated several important projects aimed at boosting local infrastructure
and public welfare, such as drinking water schemes, road
construction, and community facilities, which are expected to
significantly contribute to the area’s development.
The event also featured a plantation drive, where Minister Kumawat, MLA Hammir Singh Bhayal, and District Collector Sushil Kumar Yadav planted saplings. The leaders urged citizens to take responsibility not just for planting trees, but also for their care and upkeep to maintain ecological balance.
Adding cultural color to the event, local women carried
ceremonial pots (kalash) and sang traditional songs. The minister also
honored meritorious students and administered a pledge to the public
to commit themselves to water conservation efforts.

Singh Rathore, Govind Singh Kaludi, Ganpat Mehta, Additional
CEO Bhuvneshwar Singh Chauhan, and Sub-Divisional Officer Surendra Singh
Khangarot.
