Chaumhala (Jhalawar district) — The residents of Ward No. 13
in Gram Panchayat Kolvi alias Mandi Rajendrapur, Chaumhala, have submitted a
memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer addressed to the District Collector,
urging prompt action to resolve the persistent civic issues in their locality.
According to the memorandum, around 100 to 150 houses are
situated in the colony near the Shani Mandir area of Ward No. 13, where
residents face a multitude of problems related to poor roads, inadequate
drainage, and lack of proper water supply. During the rainy season, the roads
become muddy and waterlogged, causing great inconvenience, especially to
school-going children and elderly residents.
The residents highlighted that although a tubewell had been
sanctioned to address the longstanding water scarcity in the area, it could not
be put to use effectively. This was due to the inability to allocate a suitable
location for the tubewell, allegedly hindered by certain private individuals
pursuing personal interests. As a result, the water crisis in the ward remains
unresolved.
The residents, in their plea, have requested that the
administration urgently address the issues of road construction, proper
drainage, and functional water supply. They expressed hope that the District
Collector would intervene promptly to ensure basic amenities are provided to
improve living conditions in the ward.
