Special arrangements made due to rain and plan made for Rath Yatra
Due to the rainy season, the Lord Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra Festival Committee
has made special arrangements and made a special plan for the program and Rath
Yatra to be held in Janakpuri. President Sanjay Kandoi and fair coordinator
Rakesh Didwania said that due to the warning of heavy rains by the
Meteorological Department, a plan has been prepared for the Lord Shri Jagannath
Rath Yatra Festival proposed on June 27. If there are heavy rains, then the
Rath Yatra will be diverted from Jagannath Temple to Ganj Agra Gate, Naya
Bazaar Chaupad, Gol Pyaau, Chudi Bazaar, and taken to Janakpuri Ganj via
Prithviraj Marg, Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan and Fountain Circle. There is a strong flow
of water from the mountains in Madar Gate and Nala Bazaar during the rainy
season. Due to this, the Rath Yatra will not be taken out from these routes. He
said that a waterproof dome has been prepared in Janakpuri. There will be no
effect of rain in the next seven days. All the programmes will continue as
usual.
