Pali, June 21 – Under the joint auspices of the Pali District Administration, the Department of Ayurveda, and the Municipal Corporation, thousands of residents gathered at Lakhotia Garden on Saturday morning to participate in the district-level celebration of the 11th International Yoga Day.
The event was held in the presence of the district in-charge minister, Jhabar Singh Khara, who also joined the public in performing various yoga postures. This year’s theme was “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” A message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also broadcast to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Khara emphasized the importance of regular yoga practice for maintaining physical and mental well-being. He encouraged the public to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
The yoga session was conducted by trained instructors in alignment with the Common Yoga Protocol laid down by the Ministry of AYUSH. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups, including children, senior citizens, and women.
Yoga Sessions Across the District
In addition to the main event at Lakhotia Garden, yoga sessions were organized at several religious and tourist locations across the district, including Ranakpur, Manpura Bhakhri, Sonana Khetlaji, Om Ashram Jadan, and Jawai. Activities also took place at block and gram panchayat levels, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, schools, colleges, and both government and private institutions.
Yoga sessions across the district followed a fixed schedule from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, including Common Yoga Protocol practice from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
Innovative Campaigns and Pledges
Under the guidance of Minister Khara, District Collector and officials introduced a unique initiative combining the spirit of Yoga Day with social awareness. Attendees took two key pledges:

Quiz Winners Felicitated
Winners of a Yoga Quiz, conducted as part of the celebration, were honored by Minister Khara. A “Selfie Point” at the venue also drew significant attention and became a highlight of the event.
