Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has officially renamed his upcoming film The Delhi Files to The Bengal Files: Right to Life following public demand. Set to release on September 5, the film explores the violent events in undivided Bengal during the 1940s, including Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots, which Agnihotri describes as a "Hindu genocide."
The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi, and marks the final part of Agnihotri’s "Files Trilogy" after The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. Shot in Mumbai due to security concerns, the film features Chakraborty powerfully reciting the Preamble of the Constitution.
Produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi under I Am Buddha Productions.
