MP CP Joshi: “A self-reliant India is now leading the world”

Chittorgarh, June 12 – Marking the completion of 11 years of the Modi-led Central Government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a press conference at its district office in Ochhadi, Chittorgarh. The event was graced by Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Zoraram Kumawat, Member of Parliament CP Joshi, and BJP District President Ratan Lal Gadri, who highlighted the government’s landmark achievements over the past decade.

Minister Zoraram Kumawat, who oversees Devasthan, Gopalan, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy portfolios, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating, “The difference is visible on the ground. The last 11 years have been historic for India. Unlike previous regimes that focused on announcements, this government has delivered concrete results.”

He cited flagship schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, the Jal Jeevan Mission, and women’s reservation, along with the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A as examples of bold, people-centric governance. He also emphasized India’s strides in healthcare, noting the jump from a handful of AIIMS institutions pre-2014 to 23 operational AIIMS today, with 8 more in the pipeline.

Kumawat further mentioned advancements in railway electrification, digital infrastructure, women's empowerment, and agricultural income, asserting that India has now emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy, with a clear path toward becoming the third.

Touching upon national security, he referenced surgical strikes and anti-terror operations, and praised India’s pandemic response, which included the indigenous production of PPE kits and vaccines. He also described India’s hosting of the G-20 Summit as a defining moment that showcased the nation’s rising global stature.

MP CP Joshi echoed these sentiments, stating, “India is now guiding the world.” He underscored that in just 11 years, the nation had achieved milestones that had eluded it for six decades. “From good governance and social justice to cultural preservation and women’s empowerment, this government has redefined public service,” he said.

Joshi pointed to a tenfold increase in medical colleges, modern railway initiatives like Vande Bharat trains, road development, and schemes such as the Amrit Jal Yojana. He also referenced Operation Sindoor, a mission where Indian forces dismantled terrorist camps across the border.

“India today thinks not only for itself, but for the entire world,” Joshi remarked, highlighting initiatives like One Nation-One Election, One Nation-One Ration, and the PM Suryaghar Scheme as steps toward a more self-reliant India.

BJP District President Ratan Lal Gadri described the past 11 years as "unparalleled," crediting the Modi government for inclusive growth and a strengthened global image. “From Digital India to robust welfare schemes, the government has brought development to the grassroots and made India both safe and prosperous,” he said.

Other dignitaries in attendance included former district president Mitthu Lal Jat, general secretary Raghu Sharma, Devi Singh Ranawat, former MLA Badrilal Jat, and several senior party officials including CP Namdharani, Colonel Singh Kankarwa, IM Sethia, Sudhir Jain, Manoj Pareek, Nandkishore Lohar, Ramgopal Ojha, Shubham Sukhwal, and Subhash Sharma.

Following the press briefing, the leaders also unveiled a poster for World Day Against Child Labour, reaffirming their commitment to social justice and children’s rights.
