Jaipur:
Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight, a camp
was organized on Wednesday in Gram Panchayat Mundwara where Chhitar Mal
Verma, son of Jora Ram Verma, was finally handed over the ownership
lease (patta) of the house he has been residing in for the past 25 years.
Chhitar Mal shared that despite applying multiple times
over the past 10 years during different sarpanch tenures, he was never
issued the lease. As a result, he had been excluded from availing benefits
of key government schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and was ineligible
for a bank home loan. The absence of valid land documents also affected
his social standing.
Upon learning about the Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight camp,
Chhitar Mal contacted the current Sarpanch and Village Development Officer
regarding his previous applications. They assured support, and during the camp,
in the presence of Krishna Sharma (Tehsildar, Sambhar Lake) as Camp
In-Charge, Mahaveer Singh (Additional Development Officer) as
Co-In-Charge, and Sarpanch Smt. Gyarsi Devi, the lease was
formally issued to him.
Receiving the long-awaited document on the same day filled
Chhitar Mal with joy. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister
Bhajan Lal Sharma for organizing such beneficial outreach camps. He added
that having the official lease will now allow him to access government
schemes and gain recognition in society.
