Chittorgarh: The inaugural ceremony of the All India IPSC (Indian Public Schools Conference) Hockey Tournament (Under-14 Boys Category) was held at Sainik School Chittorgarh on Thursday. The chief guest of the inaugural ceremony was Colonel Anil Dev Singh Jasrotia, Principal of Sainik School Chittorgarh. Deputy Principal Lieutenant Colonel Parul Srivastava and Administrative Officer Major C. Srikumar welcomed the chief guest.
School Public Relations Officer Babu Lal Shivran said that teams from a total
of four schools including Punjab Public School, Nabha (Punjab), Modern Public
School, New Delhi; Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet (Telangana); and Sainik
School Chittorgarh, are participating in this tournament. The oath-taking
ceremony of the participating schools was organized in the inaugural ceremony.
The chief guest inspired the participants with his motivational speech. In the
inaugural matches held on Thursday, the atmosphere was filled with patriotic
enthusiasm as the young players expressed their commitment to fair play during
the oath-taking ceremony. The tournament started with exciting matches. Sainik
School Chittorgarh defeated Hyderabad Public School 6-0, while Punjab Public
School defeated Modern Public School Delhi 10-0. Gaurav Jakhar, physics
laboratory assistant of the school, is the coordinator of the tournament. The
tournament will run till 27 June 2025.
