In Jaipur’s Bhankrota area, a major accident was narrowly averted when the main pipe of a CNG tanker suddenly broke, leading to a rapid gas leak and causing panic in the area. However, due to the alertness and prompt action of the administration, a major disaster was avoided.
The incident occurred on Thursday when the main pipe of a CNG tanker belonging to Torrent Company suddenly broke in Bhankrota, Jaipur. The resulting high-pressure gas leak alarmed residents, especially since the area had previously witnessed a major fire incident on December 20, the memories of which are still fresh.
The situation became more dangerous due to the presence of another gas-filled CNG truck nearby. However, truck drivers and authorities acted swiftly, halting traffic and taking immediate control measures.
Upon receiving the alert, the fire department and district control room were informed. The truck drivers initially tried to stop the leak using cloth, and once the gas pressure decreased, the tanker was moved to an isolated location away from the highway. Traffic was restored only after a thorough safety inspection.
Once again, Rajendra Singh Rathore, hailed as the hero of the previous Bhankrota fire incident, demonstrated responsibility and alertness. He was the first to arrive at the scene, alerted the fire department, coordinated with truck drivers, managed traffic, and ensured the safety of nearby residents.
